How Does Individual Therapy Work?

At Advanced Therapy Corner we offer a safe, judgment-free and compassionate environment to address your emotional needs in a culturally competent manner.  In your initial sessions, your therapist will spend some time getting to know you and the issues that brought you into treatment. The therapist will ask questions about your presenting concerns, as well as your history and background. The answers you give during your initial therapy sessions will help you and your therapist set up a treatment plan for your specific needs and goals. Therapy sessions can last a few weeks or months for short-term issues or could last for several months or years for more complex situations or chronic conditions.

Types of Therapeutic Modalities Offered:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT Therapy)

  • Solution-Focused

  • Strength-Based

  • Self-Compassion

  • Mindfulness
